Each year around this time an event happens at Vistarus called the Santa Shoebox Project. Many people from various places go out and buy gifts for the children and put them in a shoebox beautifully decorated by the individual. The boxes contained clothing, toys, sweets, stationary for school and toiletries.
Thank you to everyone who did this special thing for the children. They appreciated the effort and love their little gifts.

Christmas Toy Run
Our annual Toy Run was here again this Saturday, 24 November 2012. Besides the usual handing out of presents and goodies, there was also a K9 squad of the Special Dog Unit showing how they performed. It was absolutely amazing.
The children also enjoyed the tour of the PE Stadium.

TV Room Renovation by CHEP
Vistarus was blessed with a make over project by CHEP. They donated all
the furniture and tiles that were put in the TV area and it looks
amazing. We want to thank everyone who helped put this room together and
to our dear friends from CHEP for giving their time to make this
project happen.

Vistarus Charity Dinner
On 27 October 2012 at Summerstrand Inn Hotel, Port Elizabeth Vistarus Mission Station held a charity dinner for the church building project. The night was a success with lots of laughter when the two sisters auctioneers started the auction and threw in a few jokes in between to keep people entertained, and good food and company.
We would like to thank everyone who helped out making the venue look like a dream and made this night a reality. We raised up to R 80 000 with the auction and one of our residents, a pensioner named Jannie Meiring, donated R 10 000 to the church project. He truly is a blessing.
